Work Schedule

  • This is a full-time (40 hour/week) position and eligible for Bosch Thermotechnology Corporation complete benefits package.

Summary
Bosch Thermotechnology Corp., a Bosch Group distributing innovative heating and cooling solutions through wholesale, industrial and retail channels in the North American market needs to add a trainer to its’ tankless water heater team. This position is responsible for educating installers, contractors, and service agents about safe installation, operation, repair and maintenance of Bosch Thermotechnology Corp. products. Regional Trainers will provide the necessary training and support for professional contractors within a defined territory. Efforts will be individual and team based. Travel expectations will be approximately 50%.

Job Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Provide appliance installation, service, and repair classes, within specified region, meeting documented criteria for frequency and attendance (up to 10 classes per month).
  • Visit key trouble installations of Bosch products. Provide document information (photo and written) for engineering or legal analysis.
  • Spend adequate time on Bosch technical phone support calls to gain an appreciation and understanding of technical issues in the field
  • Resolve challenging customer situations by using expert diplomacy and diagnosis.
  • Plan and organize all travel arrangements within budget and corporate guidelines.
  • Complete monthly detailed reports on expenses, experiences, and program gaps to Supervisor within agreed time frame.
  • Identify and schedule with Bosch DW sales force regular product training opportunities with key accounts throughout entire territory.
  • Provide regular visits to Bosch Service Providers (BSPs) and other identified contractors within territory.
  • Available for technical support to key area contractors as required (on site and phone).
  • Monitor spare parts and technical literature availability with key contractors in territory.
  • Identify, promote, and announce 10 trainings per month at least 60 days in advance.
  • Improve training tools, props, displays and seminar materials to enhance and attract audiences of Bosch Thermotechnology Corp. training classes.
  • Recruit, support, and maintain viable contractor base for Bosch Thermotechnology in listed territory.
  • Perform other duties and responsibilities as necessary.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma required. Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred.
  • Previous experience successfully creating and instructing technical material to industry.
  • Proven ability to design, communicate and present technical information in a group training environment with professionalism, enthusiasm, and integrity.
  • Ability to teach others the installation, function, repair and benefits of Bosch Thermotechnology Corp. products in a flexible manner.
  • Computer Literate to include Power Point, Visio, basic typing, database entry and management, email, Word, Streets & Trips, Excel, Internet research, etc..
  • Knowledge of gas appliances, hydronic heating, solar, geothermal and/or electric appliances strongly preferred. Gas/Plumbing/HVAC/Electrical certifications desirable.
  • Speak, read and write fluent English.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent communication/reporting / writing and speaking skills.
  • Proven experience working without supervision.
  • Teaching, vocational, travel and/or contracting background desirable.

Work Environment:

  • Based primarily at the Bosch Thermotechnology Corp. training facility in Irvine, CA. Regular travel required and working remotely from customer locations, key sales regions, conference facilities, etc.
  • Typical schedule is Monday – Friday, with hours varying depending on the work requirements. Routinely requires early mornings and/or late evenings. Weekend hours when necessary.
  • Significant use of computer, projector and phone for daily work.
